There is a growing demand of eco-friendly products in the international market and stakeholders are approaching the Institute for providing the facility of natural dyeing. The Institute, after conducting necessary study followed by trials on different types of raw materials, is now in a position to provide facility of natural dyeing on Silk/Wool/Pashmina yarn at reasonable charges.A large number of shades/colors on woolen Silk/ Pashmina yarn have been dyed with natural dyes.

With a view to improve finishing of carpets by standardizing the entire process of carpet washing which has remained unchanged since centuries together , the Institute conducted a study for Standardizing the process of Carpet Washing.

The entire process of carpet washing along with the types and quantities of chemicals and auxiliaries was minutely studied and analyzed. After carrying out necessary trials on large number of carpets, the quality of chemicals, auxiliaries along with their consumption used during carpet washing and the method of washing was streamlined.
